We recognize the need to teach Machine Learning, an increasingly prominent field with various advanced applications, and how the demand for these skills in the future will be great. Our advisors

Meet our advisors!

Sid Kaushik

Sid is an undergraduate researcher at UC Berkeley focused on deep reinforcement and representation learning. He advises content/curriculum creation here at IMLO. In his free time, Sid enjoys spending time outdoors hiking Southern California peaks and reading classical philosophical works.


Jesse Zhang

Jesse is a Ph.D. student at USC pursuing his doctorate in the field of Reinforcement Learning in Robotics. He previously completed his bachelor's in computer science at UC Berkeley and has interned as a research scientist at Horizon Robotics. When he isn't developing novel RL methods, he enjoys video games and UFC practice. 


Lavanya Gupta

Lavanya is an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley with an intended major of Molecular and Cell Biology. She was a co-founder and chapter president of IMLO and now advises the current IMLO board. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her family and watching stand-up comedy.


Elizabeth Jiang

Elizabeth is an undergraduate student at UCLA majoring in Business Economics and Data Theory. She was the founder and chapter president of the IMLO Branch at Irvine High School and now advises the current IMLO board. She enjoys binging movies and playing basketball in her free time.


Anastasia Yang

Anastasia is an undergraduate student at Santiago Canyon College majoring in computer science. She was a chapter president of IMLO and now advises the current board. She enjoys creative writing and video editing.
